Manteo Elementary School

Manteo Elementary School students may arrive as early as 7:40 AM. Instructional day begins at 8:10 AM; students are dismissed at 2:40 at which time parents may plan to pick up their students.

Monday, August 25 marks the beginning of the new school year for Dare County students. Dare County Schools transportation department and school administrators have designated student pick up and drop off times with adjustments for the beginning and end of the instructional day at each campus for the 2006-2007 school year.

For students who ride the bus, pickup times accommodate buses arriving at school early enough for students to have the opportunity to eat breakfast and settle in their classroom before the instructional day begins. Students are encouraged to regularly meet their bus five minutes prior to the scheduled bus stop time.
